Prescription Compliance Policy

Aum Pharmacy LLP is committed to the lawful and responsible supply of medicines in accordance with the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 and Drugs and Cosmetics Rules, 1945, as applicable in India.
This Prescription Compliance Policy outlines the procedures followed to ensure that prescription-only medicines are supplied only against a valid prescription, in the interest of patient safety and regulatory compliance.
Prescription Requirement
Certain medicines listed on the Aum Pharmacy platform are classified as prescription-only medicines under Indian law.
- Such medicines cannot be supplied without a valid prescription.
- A prescription must be issued by a registered medical practitioner
- The prescription must be clear, legible, and complete.
Aum Pharmacy LLP reserves the right to refuse or cancel orders that do not meet prescription requirements.
Prescription Submission Process
For medicines requiring a prescription, customers may be required to:
- Upload a scanned copy or image of the prescription, or
- Provide the prescription details as requested during checkout.
The prescription should include:
- Doctor's name and registration number
- Patient name
- Medicine name, dosage, and duration
- Date of issue
- Doctor's signature or seal
Verification & Dispensing
- All prescriptions are verified prior to order fulfillment.
- Prescription medicines are dispensed under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.
- Orders are processed only after successful verification.
Aum Pharmacy LLP does not dispense medicines:
- Against expired prescriptions
- With incomplete or unclear information
- That exceed the prescribed quantity or duration
Non-Prescription (OTC) Medicines
Certain products available on the platform may be classified as over-the-counter (OTC) medicines or healthcare products.
- These products do not require a prescription.
- Availability is subject to applicable laws and internal compliance checks.
Order Modification & Cancellation
Aum Pharmacy LLP reserves the right to:
- Contact the customer for clarification or additional information.
- Modify or cancel orders if prescription validation fails.
- Refund amounts for cancelled orders as per the refund policy.
